Delete your account

You can delete your Project Shift account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Here's how, and what happens next.

Request account deletion

Enter the email address linked to your Project Shift account. This opens your email app with a request addressed to projectshift.app@gmail.com.

Request submitted

Your account deletion request has been submitted. Your account and associated data will be deleted within 15 days.

If your email app opened, press Send to complete the request. If it didn't, email projectshift.app@gmail.com from your account email.

01Request deletion by email

Use the form on this page or email projectshift.app@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request".

To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm the request from that email address before we delete anything.

02What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your name, email address, and sign-in details
  • Your learning progress, lessons completed, streaks, and quiz results
  • Usage data linked to your account
  • Messages you have sent us, once your request is resolved

03What we may keep

We may keep a limited amount of information where we are required to, or for legitimate reasons:

  • Payment and transaction records, for as long as tax and accounting laws require
  • Anonymised, aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you

04How long it takes

We process deletion requests within 15 days. Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered. We'll email you when it's done.

05Active subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Please cancel it in your Google Play or Apple account settings first so you aren't charged again.
